Lancet Robotics, a rising leader in China's surgical robotics industry, has announced the successful completion of its A+ funding round, raising tens of millions of RMB (approximately several million USD). The investment was led by Yuehu Fund and will be used to scale up its cross-specialty surgical robot manufacturing base, accelerate R&D for next-generation products, and drive global market expansion.

This milestone follows the company’s A-round financing completed late last year, which was led by CICC Capital and also brought in tens of millions of RMB in support.

Driving the Domestic Innovation Frontier

Founded in 2018, Lancet Robotics has pioneered the full-stack localization of surgical robots, including algorithm development, manufacturing processes, and core component production. Its innovative solutions have been adopted by dozens of hospitals across China, from top-tier general hospitals to county-level facilities and private specialty clinics. By significantly lowering the cost of surgical robotic systems, the company is helping democratize access to advanced robotic-assisted surgeries in underserved areas.

Lancet Robotics is also one of the first Chinese surgical robotics companies to obtain U.S. FDA clearance, marking a major step in its internationalization efforts. The company has already secured over 20 overseas purchase contracts, primarily from markets in South America, Southeast and South Asia, and Eastern Europe, with multiple systems successfully installed and operational in international clinical centers.
