85 Units Awarded in Public Tenders! China Surgical Robot Market Watch, Q3 2026
October 14, 2026
In Q3 2026, MedRobot tallied 84 public tender award records for surgical robots in China, covering 85 units from 26 brands across six categories: laparoscopic, orthopaedic, neurosurgical, dental, puncture and vascular interventional robots. The total disclosed tender value reached RMB 536.5623 million, approximately RMB 537 million. A full detailed table is attached at the end for readers’ reference.
Overall Overview: Orthopaedic Robots Lead in Unit Volume; Laparoscopic Robots Account for the Largest Share of Contract Value
Orthopaedic robots topped the ranking with 27 units, followed by neurosurgical robots (26 units) and laparoscopic robots (22 units). Combined, these three categories accounted for 75 units, or 88.2% of total awarded units in this period. Dental, puncture and vascular interventional robots together made up 10 units, representing a relatively small share of public procurement volume.
Unit distribution differs from value distribution. Disclosed contract value for laparoscopic robots stood at roughly RMB 250 million, about 47% of the total disclosed value in the quarter; orthopaedic robots reached approximately RMB 180 million, and neurosurgical robots RMB 70.1198 million. While fewer laparoscopic units were awarded compared with orthopaedic and neurosurgical robots, they captured a larger proportion of procurement spend.

Counted by tender announcement release date, 21 units were awarded in July, 28 in August and 36 in September. September contributed 42.4% of the quarter’s total units, including 14 orthopaedic robots and 10 laparoscopic robots. This reflects the timing of tender announcements in the reporting window; physical installation, acceptance and clinical deployment may fall in subsequent months.

Laparoscopic Robots: Awards for 7 Brands, Domestic Players Account for 16 Units
A total of 22 laparoscopic robotic units were awarded across seven brands. MicroPort MedBot and Intuitive Fosun (Da Vinci) each secured six units; Jifan Medical won three units, while Weijing Medical, Sizherui and Shurui each claimed two units, and Minjie Medical one unit. Six domestic brands together took 16 units, representing 72.7% of laparoscopic awards this quarter.
Multiple brands secured public procurement orders in this round, signalling a multi-vendor landscape for domestic laparoscopic robot purchasing.

Orthopaedic Robots: 12 Brands Participate in Tenders
Orthopaedic robots recorded 27 awarded units from 12 brands, the highest brand count among all categories. Tinavi led with eight units, followed by Kegel Medical with six units. Together they captured 14 units, or 51.9% of orthopaedic awards. Yuanhua Intelligent had three units, Tuodao Medical two units, and the remaining eight brands each won one unit.
Products awarded cover joint replacement, spinal and trauma procedures. Procurement buyers include large general hospitals, traditional Chinese medicine hospitals and county-level hospitals. Indications and hardware configurations vary widely across systems; listed contract values serve primarily as an indicator of procurement scale.

Neurosurgical Robots: Huake Jingzhun Secures 16 Units, 61.5% of Category Volume
26 neurosurgical robotic units were awarded across three brands. Huake Jingzhun took 16 units, accounting for 61.5% of the category; Bohui Weikang won nine units and United Imaging Zhirong one unit. Huake Jingzhun and Bohui Weikang together claimed 25 units, showing concentrated public tender wins among two suppliers.

Other Segments: 3 Dental, 6 Puncture and 1 Vascular Interventional Unit
All three awarded dental robotic units came from Yake Wisdom, with a combined disclosed value of RMB 8.2595 million. Six puncture robotic units totalled RMB 22.2810 million. One vascular interventional robot from Mayo Magnetic Navigation was recorded: a cardiac electrophysiology interventional robotic control system awarded at RMB 7.21 million.

Q3 public tender data shows a fragmented supplier landscape for orthopaedic robots, concentrated order volume for neurosurgical robots among a small set of vendors, and laparoscopic robots commanding the highest procurement value share. Consistent tracking of awarded unit counts, product categories and buying hospitals helps map adoption timelines for surgical robotics across institutions. MedRobot will continue monitoring public procurement disclosures to deliver traceable industry data.

Data Notes
This report presents periodic statistics compiled by MedRobot from publicly available tender award records. The statistical window runs from 1 July to 30 September 2026, grouped by tender announcement release date; data compilation closed on 12 October 2026.
Only publicly released tender awards are included. Figures exclude self-reported sales, non-public procurements, leasing, technical service contracts and overseas sales. Awarded unit counts do not equal delivered, installed or clinically deployed units, nor do they represent total industry sales.
Statistics may contain omissions or updates due to limited public disclosure and data access. Manufacturers may contact MedRobot with supporting tender notices and product documentation to report missing entries, classification errors or model discrepancies for verification and revision in future reports.
